The Full Moon in Capricorn takes place during the astrological Season of Cancer. Where Cancer is ruled by the Moon and the Element of Water, signifying our changeable nature and emotional tides, Capricorn is ruled by the Planet Saturn and the Element of Earth, signifying practicality, our pragmatic nature, and all that keeps us secure.

The Planetary God Saturn is a ruthless pragmatist. He rules every aspect of our lives that we must do in order to survive, and even thrive.

Saturnian activities are typically seen as mundane, and include:

• Flossing

• Paying your bills on time

• Going to Temple/Church weekly

And the like. However, if you keep your head down and do what needs to be done, your Saturnian dedication will reward you in a way that nothing else can.

Capricorns are renowned for their incredibly work ethic, boundaries, and sense of responsibility. For this reason, Capricorns are typically very successful at their careers and are often high earners; indeed, Capricorns are usually successful at all of their chosen pursuits, if only because they are willing to do what others aren’t.

When you respect the energy of Saturn and allow the energy of Capricorn to power your work, you will be rewarded with stability, abundance in the material realm, and transformation that leads to lasting change.

Channeling Capricorn

On this Full Moon, when the energy of Capricorn is at its peak, use this energy to bring new life to projects and tasks that you know are IMPORTANT, but that you’ve been avoiding (perhaps because they’re boring or difficult).

• Make a list of the things you “should” be doing

• Be discriminatory: Which of these things is actually useful to you? What are you likely to actually do? I don’t know who invented “SMART Goals”, but I bet they were a Capricorn!

• Pare the list down to a short list of VIPs: Very Important Projects

• Work through one at a time. Write down what you need to do to get that particular task done.

• Implement!

Saturn says, “It works if you work it!”.

But, Saturn also says, “You will succeed, or else!”

Now, before you go out guns a-blazin’ – be careful of the dark side of Capricorn, for which the ends always justify the means. Dedicate everything to the highest good of all, and trust that the Divine will guide you to the right project, in the right way, at the right time.
