The Numerology of 8-8 (NOT a Lion's Gate Post!)

I was doing some research on what was to be a new post about the Lion's Gate Portal when I came across an article by Yasmin Boland (author of Moonology) about how the 8-8 Lion's Gate is essentially a farce that has no real basis in astrology. Ouch.

Does that mean that everything else out there is - dare I say - slop? No, not necessarily. However, as a longtime student and devotee of astrology, the article did give me pause. In the end I decided not to write it (maybe next year, and with more research under my belt).

In any case, I thought I would share what was meaningful to me about this day, which is the significance of the Number 8 in Numerology...

In short, the Number 8 is about luck, more specifically, a change in luck. The Tarot card that I associate with the energy of the Number 8 is the Wheel of Fortune. When the wheel turns, your fortune changes - for better or for worse. Numerologically, 8 years tend to bring big change and upheaval.

The energy of 8 lends itself strongly to shifting tides and CHANGE, which is why it's a great number for manifestation. If you have a Lion's Gate ritual or special event this evening, know that the energy of the number 8 is strong and will help to move any positive vibes you're generating forward - regardless of the astrology of the day!

Hmm, I guess I did sort of write the article after all 😉

As for me, I like to use the energy of this day as a reminder that even though we are past the midpoint of the year, THE POINT OF POWER IS ALWAYS IN THE PRESENT MOMENT. There is still time to change course and to turn one's luck around, as it were.

And remember, we still have a whole month of August, ie, Summer, left! The weather's been strange the world over, but remember that Summer is not a weather forecast - it's a Season, both environmentally and metaphysically. Leo energy is still strong. Bring yourself to the light; your Higher Selfie wants you to shine.
