What Happens During a Reiki Share?
During a Reiki Share, everybody gets an opportunity to receive Reiki from the group. The recipient will be able to relax comfortably on a massage table, while receiving Reiki from multiple practitioners. Every participant will get a turn, so everyone will have a chance to both give and receive Reiki.
The Reiki Share will be facilitated by Timmie Horvath, Reiki Master Teacher and founder of the Sacred Wellness School of Healing Arts. Each session will begin with a short, guided meditation, and will end with some time for Q&A and discussion.
Why Receive Group Reiki?
Group Reiki is a powerful healing experience, and can be a catalyst for deep healing. Because you’ll be receiving Reiki from more than one person at a time, it is said that 10 minutes of Group Reiki can feel as strong as a 60 minute session with one person!
Group Reiki is also much more cost effective, and has the added bonus of giving you an opportunity to practice giving Reiki to others, thus increasing your confidence and adding to your experience as a Reiki Practitioner. This is especially valuable if you haven’t had a chance to practice Reiki on anybody other than yourself, or if you’ve received your Reiki training online and would like some in-person experience!
How Do I Prepare for Group Reiki?
Come as you are! Wear comfortable clothing with layers and socks, and make sure that you’re well nourished.
It is of utmost priority that all participants feel comfortable, safe, and respected throughout the entire share. Reiki can be channeled WITHOUT physical touch, and we will respect everybody’s individual preferences.
You may also opt to sit in a chair, if lying on a massage table is not comfortable for you.
Abuse of any kind will not be tolerated. Timmie maintains the right to ask participants to leave at her discretion, if she feels that they are being disrespectful to anybody in any way.
