Today marks the 1 year anniversary of The Sacred Wellness Clinic!
Last year, the day after my birthday (October 6), I took the very scary leap and signed a lease on my first brick-and-mortar location on St. Thomas Street in St. Albert, AB.
I was still a second year Massage Therapy student at the time, and at the time, I had no solid indication that my clinic space would break even, let alone profit, for at least another year. Because The Sacred Wellness Clinic is my second business, I was able to cover costs from the profits of my first business, The Sacred Wellness School of Healing Arts.
Thankfully, it didn’t take long before The Sacred Wellness Clinic started paying for itself, and eventually turning a profit (all within 6 months). This would not have been possible if not for my amazing clients, many of whom started seeing me from the very beginning as part of my first year “homework” massages.

Time for some reflection…
I’ve been a full-time entrepreneur since 2012, and I started my Reiki school in 2015. Over the years, I have:
- Had a home-based Reiki practice out of 3 different homes
- Taught my Reiki and Energy Healing courses out of different yoga studios on a commission basis
- Renovated my garage to become a studio-turned-massage clinic
- Ditched the commission model and started renting space at said yoga and wellness studios
- Became a member of a health collective wherein I rented workshop space full-time
- Moved my school online, transitioning from live online classes to on-demand, self-study courses
I remember being at a crossroads where I had two, equally viable choices: Continue to accept clients at home, or move out into my own space. The pros and cons of having a home practice vs. a commercial space were equally matched, with the “tie-breaker” being the LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION.
The space I am currently in now was exactly where I had always dreamed I would be; I always envisioned myself being on/around Perron Street, in a gorgeous area which would be easily accessible and have lots of parking. I dreamed of being able to go for nature walks between clients and eating my lunch on park benches close by… And this is exactly what I manifested! I still have to pinch myself sometimes 🙂
As I mentioned earlier, I was still in school, and while renting commercial space felt like a stretch, I knew that if I let this opportunity go, that I would deeply regret it. One year later, I am so grateful that I took that chance!
And for the record: I no longer work out of my home. The garage is now being used as a filming studio for my Yoga and Pilates classes, as well as a home gym and “busy space” for the family.

The Sacred Wellness Clinic is a mind-body healing space, where I offer therapeutic massage (including myofascial cupping), energy healing, and custom flower remedies for clients who value integrating their physical, mental, and energetic health. I also offer pre- and postnatal massage and reflexology sessions. My most popular service is my Therapeutic Massage and Reiki combo treatment – the perfect balance of physical and energetic wellness.
I’m here to empower you to take your health into your own hands. Depending on your needs, you may leave with a remedial exercise program, essential oil recommendations, or maybe even a book recommendation!
I also have a retail store where you can buy essential oils, energy healing sprays, books, and more! I will be curating a selection of wellness products that will enhance your mind, body, and soul, readily available for you to purchase before or after your appointment.
And did I mention that it’s also my birthday month? I turned 35 on October 6! Let me celebrate my birthday month with you 🙂
