New Moon in Pisces

This New Moon heralds the beginning of the Season of Pisces, the last sign of the astrological year. Pisces, a Water Sign, is the wise old elder of the Zodiac (as opposed to the baby energy of Fire Sign Aries).

Pisces has two ruling planets, Neptune and Jupiter. Neptune rules dreams, intuition, imagination, and psychic development; and Jupiter is all about expansion. Put these together, and you have one magickal, empathic, and incredibly perceptive Sign.

How to Use this Energy

This New Moon invites us to look back on our year, in much the same way that our elders might reminisce on their lives thus far.

Ask yourself: What do you remember with fondness? What are you most proud of? What are your major regrets, heartbreaks, or life lessons?

Feel free to go back beyond the past year, to as far back as you’d like. There are gifts waiting for you when you take the time to carefully consider the lessons you’ve learned from a life well-lived.

Resist the urge to delegate this task to someone else (i.e., a psychic reader, etc). Your intuition will be especially sharp during this New Moon, so if you must consult a reading, do one for yourself. A major theme for Pisces is learning how to trust your own intuition and feelings, and you can only do that with practice.

On that note, Pisces asks us to MEDITATE, MEDITATE, MEDITATE. Meditation is key to clear thinking and insights. As a Water Sign, you may choose to spend time in a float tank, have a luxurious bath, or explore natural bodies of water. But after, meditate.

There’s no getting around it – Pisces is all about what happens in the unseen realms, which you can best access through meditation.

What Lies Beneath

Pisces sees what we try to hide, and is the domain of all things secret and hidden away from society.

Everything from words left unsaid and confessions never made, to the actions and people behind the closed doors of places like hospitals, assisted living facilities, and prisons (I’m not drawing a parallel, I’m just stating facts!), falls under the watchful eye of Pisces.

Nothing stays hidden forever, and everything must be dealt with eventually. So, what does this mean? Ultimately, it means that you are on the brink of a huge shift.

If you have a dream or ambition that you’ve been putting off, it will be brought to your attention, ready for you to take inspired action.

If you’ve been feeling stuck or caught, you’ll finally feel lifted out of your rut and free to move in any direction you choose.

The astrological year has run its course. The New Moon in Pisces returns our dreams to us, in the hopes that we can put this year to rest, ready to awaken and start over again in the Sign of Aries.

See you on the flip side!
