What is the Violet Flame?
The Violet Flame is a powerful spiritual tool for healing, protection and transmutation. It can be used to cleanse any area or space of negative energies, and it is also a powerful healing energy that can be directed through our chakras to heal ourselves from physical, mental and emotional pain.
The Violet Flame has been used for centuries as part of spiritual practices such as meditation, prayer, ceremonial magic and more. However, it wasn’t until the early twentieth century that metaphysical practitioners began to understand how to work with this powerful energy.
The Violet Flame and the Divine Feminine
The Violet Flame works with the Divine Feminine Principle, most commonly through the Goddess Kuan Yin, who represents compassion, forgiveness, love and mercy. We can call upon this energy when we wish to forgive others or ourselves for any mistakes we have made in life, in order to move forward with a clean slate.
The Violet Flame and Archangel Michael
The Violet Flame comes into this world through Archangel Michael’s Violet Ray of Power (also known as the Purple Ray), which descends from the Heart of Our Father/Mother God into the Earth’s core, where it meets up with Mother Gaia’s Red Ray of Power (also known as the Red Ray). The two rays are then released through Mother Gaia’s heart chakra into her eighth principle – Creation/Prosperity – and then spread throughout all levels of creation as a powerful healing force for humanity.
Teachers of the Violet Flame
The first people to teach about The Violet Flame were Mabel Collins and Charles Leadbeater in their book ‘The Chakras’ (1901). They wrote about how it can be used to purify our chakras or energy centers so that we can become more balanced, healthy and happy people.
Many other authors have written about The Violet Flame since then including Alice Bailey who wrote ‘The Rays & The Initiations’ (1934-1947) where she talked about how we can use this powerful energy to help us with our spiritual ascension.
Perhaps the most notable authors and teachers of The Violet Flame are Mark and Elizabeth Clare Prophet, whose teachings have had the biggest impact on my practice. There are many other authors and bloggers out there, each of whom brings their own beautiful perspective on this powerful energy; I encourage you to do your own exploration to see which ones resonate with you.
The Violet Flame Mantra
The simplest way to invoke, or call in, the Violet Flame is through the following mantra which I learned from Elizabeth Clare Prophet:
I am a being of Violet Fire, I am the purity God desires.
Recite this mantra at least 3x, or in any multiple of 3 (such as 9, 21, etc). Visualize a vibrant, violet ray of light entering your body through your Crown Chakra, clearing all of your chakras and your entire energy field. Hold the intention of transformation, forgiveness, and purity in your Heart Chakra. Sit with this visualization for as long as you are able.
By the way, the Violet Flame is a non-denominational energy. Sacred mantras of all religions call in the Violet Flame, everything from “Om mani padme hum” to the “Our Father”, so if you’re not vibin’ with the Violet Flame Mantra, know that by reciting the prayers/chants that are meaningful to you, you’re raising your frequency and invoking the Violet Flame all the same.
The Violet Flame of Transformation
The Violet Flame is a flame of transformation and transmutation. It is a pure, Divinely guided frequency that will work to transform your energy and mindset, bringing about compassion and forgiveness. This is ultimately what changes our situation. As Wayne Dyer said, “When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change”.
The Violet Flame is related to many spiritual practices, deities, angels, crystals, and more.
