Bonus! I hope you’ve enjoyed learning all about the chakras over the past few weeks. You can always access the entire Chakra Series right here. For a general introduction to the chakras, please read Chakras 101 and Chakra Therapy 101.
What follows is a basic overview of the lesser-known Earth Star Chakra. I don’t have much in the way of correspondences, as this is a pretty basic energy centre. It’s foundational to understanding your personal energy system, however, and should never be overlooked.
I did, however, share my personal favourite way to clear and balance the Earth Star Chakra (scroll to the bottom of the post). This simple practice alone can change your life! It certainly did mine, and I make sure to do this whenever I’m on the crux of change.
A Healthy Earth Star Chakra
The Earth Star Chakra is located below your feet, about a foot into the Earth. This chakra is also known as the Foot Chakra, and it is responsible for supporting you in standing and living in your truth, as well as realizing and following your life purpose. Activating this chakra allows you to have your own unique life experience, and to manifest your desires in a timely manner. This is a little-known chakra, which you may or may not choose to work with. Personally, my life has been transformed by working with this chakra, and I always set the intention to ground my clients after every energy healing session by sending Reiki to their Earth Star Chakras.
Colour: None. According to Judy Hall, the Earth Star Chakra is Black, and when activated, it’s Magenta.
Physical Correspondences: None
Position: Below the feet
An Energy Exercise for the Earth Star Chakra
A simple and effective method for activating and clearing your Earth Star Chakra is to simply look at your feet while you walk. With every step, visualize light coming from your feet, similar to ripples in a pond or the panels of Dance Dance Revolution. Do this periodically as you go about your day. You can make it a part of your daily routine, or you can make it more of a ritual by incorporating it into a walking meditation or a labyrinth walk. Journal on your experiences as you work through this exercise over a period of time – the results will astound you!
P.S. Are you a Yoga/Fitness Instructor, Holistic Health Practitioner, Bodyworker or Wellness Enthusiast who’d like to learn how to work with the chakras – professionally? You may be interested in my Chakra Therapy Certification course!
