Baptism by fire!
Ah, the Full Moon in Scorpio . . . Scorpio energy is a personal favourite of mine (if it’s possible for Scorpio to be a “favourite”), having four Planets in Scorpio: My Moon, Mercury, Venus, and even Pluto (!). Plus, my second born son is a Scorpio, and his Scorpionic tendencies were obvious from birth, so I have been dealing with this energy on max my whole life!
Scorpio energy is INTENSE. This is amazing energy to work with, although it can bring some really hard – but necessary! – lessons. The Planet that rules Scorpio is Pluto, which was named for the Roman God of the Underworld, whose Greek equivalent is Hades. Scorpio is associated with the energy of the Underworld Gods, including Osiris and even the Goddess Persephone.
Its strong Underworld associations points to the very core of its potential: Scorpio brings death and rebirth; renewal and invention; surrender and release.
As a Water Sign, Scorpio energy must be properly channeled. Where Cancer energy can be likened to running water illuminated by the light of the Moon, Scorpio energy is still water that runs DEEP. Scorpio is Dark Water, if you will.
An interesting visual: When Scorpio energy is healthy, its symbol is the Phoenix; If it’s improperly handled, its symbol is the poisonous Scorpion. Those with lots of Scorpio energy in their chart feel all the things, all the time.
How to be Scorpio
Scorpio people are often described as deeply passionate, intuitive, introverted, deep thinkers. They are also incredibly attractive, and have a natural charisma that is irresistible to others. This makes them the first choice for leadership positions, or easy idols. Scorpios are naturally independent, and can work well in solitude. They also enjoy their own company, and can sometimes be introverts.
Their passionate approach to life means that they can easily laser-focus their attention on their chosen pursuits, and as a result, are very successful in their endeavours.
Full Moon Magick
This potent, “niche”-like energy is further emphasized during the Full Moon! The Scorpio Full Moon packs a powerful punch, and this is the time to really “go for it”!
There is enough energy in this lunation for you to be able to generate enough “cosmic wind” to sail quickly in the direction of your goal. If you can’t think of anything specific at this time, I would recommend that you set the intention to be able to surrender to the Universe, and release everything that no longer serves you. The Scorpio Full Moon will purge you like nothing else!

This is also an ideal time for:
If you’re the type of person who’s afraid of being alone, this is a great time to cultivate the intention to start enjoying your own company. Start a new hobby that encourages you to learn independently. Purposely set aside time to be in solitude, and resolve to make it a habit. Take yourself on an Artist Date – and if you don’t know what that is, then now’s the time for you to read “The Artist’s Way” by Julia Cameron ?
Pick your most important project – this can be work, family, or recreational – and get the ball rolling! If there’s something that you’ve been putting off because of lack of focus or motivation, this energy can help you turn things around!
You can take this one of two ways: You can either find a new hobby, pastime, or vocation to fall deeply in love with, or you can choose something that you do well enough, and start working towards becoming an expert or a “master”.
Oh, and if you didn’t already know, Scorpio Full Moons are epic for anything sexy ?
